Acts 15

The Jerusalem Council

The question of circumcision arises. Paul and Barnabas go to the Jerusalem council. (15:1-5).

Peter testifies that the Gentiles are saved through the grace of God as the Jews are. (15:6-11).

James speaks and states that God pointed out in the Old Testament that He would call Gentiles. James states that they should be careful not to offend the Jews in every city. (15:12-21).

The council sends a letter to the churches declaring that they are one body, and that they do not offend the Jews in some matters. (15:22-29).

The people rejoice because of the letter. (15:30-35).

Paul and Barnabas split over Mark. Barnabas takes Mark, and Paul takes Silas. (15:36-41).
