Joshua 1-5

As the Biblical story moves along to demonstrate the equipping of the nation in a prophetic microcosm of the ultimate deliverance of the Abrahamic Covenant, the story now moves to complete the conquering of the land under a new generation and under a new Moses. It will anticipate that God can and will deliver Israel ultimately when the ultimate New Moses arrives, the ultimate Genesis 3:15 conqueror of the Satanic Gentiles.

Joshua, who represents the New Moses of Deuteronomy 18:15 will deliver a new generation of Israelites into the rest in the Land of Promise through the Passover Lamb, just as ultimately the New Moses (Jesus = Joshua) will deliver Israel into the Land of Canaan through Himself (Genesis 3:15) as, not only the Great Conquering New Adam, but also the Human Sacrifice pictured in the the Passover Lamb. The key word in this book is that God will "give them rest."
